How do I remove the “Sent on behalf of” aka "via" header from the email messages I send from Ongage

If you receive an email message that you sent from Ongage, and instead of the from email address you setup in the ESP setup page, appearing at the top of the email message, you see a "via" or "Sent on behalf" header like this:

My Org info@myorg.org via acserv2.com

That means that you did not yet setup the SPF and DKIM records for that sending domain. For more about that, see "About SPF, DKIM and Ongage" under DNS, SPF, DKIM and Related Topics in our online Knowledge Base section.

Also see our online ESP Setup Tutorials for more information about how to verify (aka authenticate) your sending domain on various SMTP vendors.

Can the Tracking Domains I Use in Ongage be SSL/HTTPS

Yes. Though this requires a special setup. Ongage will setup a dedicated server for your tracking domain(s) for this purpose. You will therefore need to purchase an SSL certificate that Ongage will then apply to the dedicated server. In order to get this setup please open a support ticket. You may want to speak to your account manager first, to see if this setup is supported in your current Ongage plan.

(info) Note: that if you want more than 1 domain to use SSL/HTTPS, you'll have to acquire a Multi-Domain Wildcard SSL certificate.

  • Ongage currently doesn't support SSL for Image Domains.
